  • In 1995 at the Larnaka District Court he secured the acquittal of a young person accused of possessing “ecstasy” tablets because at the time “MDMA” was not included in the list of prohibited substances of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977.
  • In 2000 at the Nicosia Assize Court he successfully defended a senior officer of the Inland Revenue accused of bribery and corruption.
  • In 2002 at The Supreme Court he succeeded in the overturning of conviction of a person accused of importation and possession with intent to supply a large quantity of cannabis [see (2002) 2 CLR 505].
  • In 2003 at the Nicosia Assize Court he was one of two lawyers who successfully defended an ambassador of Cyprus accused of stealing governmental property and for abuse of power.
